Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is Disneyland Resort’s newest seasonal scavenger hunt that takes place in the Downtown Disney district.
Much like our family’s favorite “Eggstravaganza” during springtime, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is the Halloween time answer with a fun hunt for hidden decorative painted pumpkins themed to Disney characters scattered throughout the Downtown Disney district! Purchase a game board and stickers at select merchandise locations, including World of Disney, Disney’s Pin Traders, Disney Home, The Disney Dress Shop and WonderGround Gallery Each set is $9.99 (discounts like Magic Key do apply).
Once you have what you need, get ready to find the gourd-eous pumpkins with hints on your game board and place the corresponding stickers to each.
Whether you choose to hunt for the 13 pleasant little pumpkins or not, you can return your game board to a redemption location (World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders) for a spooky surprise. *Spoiler! It’s an adorable Halloween themed tumbler of your choice! There are 4 spook-tacular designs to choose from and they are all perfect for all the seasonal drinks!
The kids always enjoy an extra added activity like this that feels very Disney. Its a great option for those small windows of your days as you arrive on property for a vacation or as a great activity option for a day you didn’t secure a Magic Key reservation for the parks!
My suggestion would be to purchase your game board set at the nearest location to where you enter the Downtown Disney shopping area, that way you don’t spot some of the pumpkins along the way before you’ve had a chance to start your actual hunt.
